Are you man enough to wear red stilettos?

vdf_red.jpg

Adam Fetterman is man enough. Din Thomas is man enough. Scott “Bear Hug” Van Duzer is certainly man enough. Are you man enough to join them in a pair of red stilettos in support of SafeSpace?

They and other supporters will gather at Big Apple Pizza, 2311 South 35th Street, Fort Pierce, on Thursday, Sept. 20, to gather dollars and support for SafeSpace’s upcoming Walk a Mile in Her ShoesŪ event.

Fetterman, Thomas of MMA fame, and VanDuzer, now known as the guy who bear-hugged President Obama, will be joined by other featured walkers who already have committed to stepping up for SafeSpace –- St. Lucie County Commissioners Chris Craft and Chris Dzadovsky, Clerk of Court Joe Smith, radio personality Josh Cohen, Ryan Strickland, photographer Mitch Kloorfain, Fort Pierce Exchange Club President John Barbieri and Bobby Hopkins.

Treasure and Space Coast Radio’s Hamp Elliot is emcee for the evening’s “Are You Man Enough” competitions. The winner will be SafeSpace, with all donations going to benefit the Treasure Coast’s only certified domestic violence center.

The family friendly event takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, and includes a bounce house to keep kids entertained. Sign up during the evening for the 2012 SafeSpace Walk a Mile in Her ShoesŪ event.

The St. Lucie County SafeSpace Walk a Mile in Her ShoesŪ takes place Saturday, Oct. 13 at Tradition Square, kicking off at 10:30 a.m. Cost is a minimum $50 donation, which includes a pair of red stilettos for the walk.
